JAIPUR: The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation on Wednesday said the state government has given approval for free travel to REET aspirants in Roadways buses for two days before and two days after the examination.
Officials said REET aspirants will be able to travel for free in roadways buses from July 21-26 by showing their admit cards along with a photo identity proof to the bus conductor.
Candidates will get free travel only once from their native place to the city where their examination centre is and for returning. Relatives and family members of candidates accompanying them will have to pay for the bus tickets.
Four temporary bus stands have been made in the city for smooth operation of traffic over the weekend when Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers-2022 (REET) will be conducted, said officials from Jaipur district administration on Wednesday. Officers in-charge have been appointed for all four of these temporary bus stands.
Prakash Rajpurohit, district collector Jaipur said that the officer-in-charge of Transport Nagar Bus Stand (before the tunnel) will be sub-divisional magistrate(SDM) Amer Priyvrat Singh Charan, officer-in-charge of Tonk Road bus stand will be SDM Jaipur North Anil Chaudhary, for Badarwas Narayan Bihar Tiraha Bus Stand SDM Jaipur South Laxmikant Katara will be officer in-charge and for Vidyadhar Nagar Bus Stand Stadium the in-charge is Jaipur SDM Rakesh Kumar Meena.
The officer-in-charge will take round the clock action by appointing personnel from his own level. Around 16 lakh candidates have applied for REET, said officials.
