JAIPUR: Four more persons including a three-and- half year old infant was tested positive for swine flu in various parts of the state on Tuesday taking the number of swine flu cases to 37 in last 24 days. In March itself the flu has claimed five lives in Rajasthan so far.
According to officials of the medical and health, four people including an infant Abhimanu, who hails from Sodala, were test positive in the reports came on Tuesday.
The other patients tested positive belonged to Nagaur and Ajmer.
The officials added that the infant was brought to the OPD of JK Lone hospital following complains of cough, sneeze and mild fever. He is been administered Tambi flu at his home itself and a team of doctors have examined him.
As many as 19 people have been diagnosed with
H1N1 influenza in Jaipur so far this month.
The medical, health and family welfare department claimed that they have taken measures to control and prevent the swine flu virus from spreading.
The state government has also made swine flu control rooms at the district headquarters while Tambiflu is being made available everybody at the primary health centres. The officials are conducting door-to-door survey to detect cases.
Senior physicians at the SMS hospital have advised people to take minor problems included cough, sneeze, cold and fever seriously. "I think these factors are important when it comes to Swine flu. In this scenario, a prolonged fever could be swine flu," said the physician.
