Former upsarpanch's body found

AJMER: Police on Saturday morning recovered a body of ex-upsarpanch of nearby Gugra village, Laxman Singh (35), from the well of his village. Laxman had been missing since November 7. The incident sent shockwaves around the village and the police is also investigating the murder angle.
According to Civil Lines police, they got a tip off that a body was found floating in the village well.The well is somewhat away from the main road and it was not usual for everyone to go there regularly. It took two hours for the police to take out the body.
The body was identified that of Laxman Singh. His family had registered a missing complaint on November 7. "We had contacted every relative and friend of Laxman but he was found nowhere," said a relative of the deceased.
Police sent the body for autopsy to ascertain the reason and time of his death. "We are looking into the matter and waiting for the postmortem report," said officials. They added that they have not ruled out murder in this case.
