Jaipur: At least two forest guards on patrolling duty were injured when they were allegedly attacked by a group of people in the Madanpur forest area in Dholpur district Saturday night. An FIR was registered by the guards in this regard Sunday.
The complaint was registered by forest guard Ugrasen Nishad at Sone Ka Gurja police station. As per the complaint, the attack occurred when the team was patrolling the Madanpur forest division and noticed suspicious activities. As they approached, 15-20 individuals armed with sticks, axes, and machetes assaulted them.
Ugrasen and another guard, Dhruv Singh, were thrown to the ground, manhandled, and slapped. The attackers also threatened to kill them and set their official vehicle on fire if they returned. Both were injured and discharged from the hospital after primary treatment.
"The FIR has been registered against two identified and several other unidentified people. Further investigation is going on," said a police officer.
