NEW DELHI: Rajasthan deputy chief minister Prem Chand Bairwa praised chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's previous budget on Wednesday, highlighting its inclusive nature and successful implementation.
He expressed confidence that the upcoming budget, scheduled for February 19, would continue to focus on state development and align with Prime Minister Modi's vision.
"When the first Budget of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was presented, it was inclusive of all sections and sectors. It was for the upliftment of Rajasthan. Within 6 months today, it can be seen implemented up to 90%...Today's Budget will also be for the upliftment of the state and include all sections. It will be for a developed Rajasthan as per the idea of PM Modi," Bairwa stated.
Deputy chief minister Diya Kumari expressed optimism about the upcoming state budget presentation on February 19.
"With the blessings of the Prime Minister, under the leadership of Chief Minister, double engine government in Rajasthan will present a very good budget and will have everything for everyone," Kumari said while speaking to media.
Kumari later took to social media platform X to announce the finalization of the Rajasthan Budget 2025-26.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma conducted a review meeting at his residence on February 16 to assess Jaipur's development work. During the meeting, he instructed District Collectors of the Jaipur division to submit reports on pending cases related to previous budget announcements within three days.
The Chief Minister emphasized that District Collectors would be responsible for implementing budget-related announcements and should resolve issues through spot inspections.
Sharma directed officials to complete all necessary approvals by February end after conducting technical examinations of pending cases.
The District Collectors presented suggestions for the upcoming Budget 2025-26, covering various sectors including drinking water, electricity, roads, health, education, tourism, and transport facilities.
In response, the Chief Minister instructed District Collectors to conduct spot inspections and prioritize works based on prescribed parameters and utility.
