Firing accused apologise publicly amid cop presence

Jhunjhunu: Criminals who fired 25 rounds at history-sheeter Rohit Mahla's house between Jan 13 and 14 and posted threats on social media were seen apologising publicly in the Badh Ki Dhani marketplace near Gudha Godji police station in Jhunjhunu Tuesday.
Police arrested Lokesh Gurjar aka Lucky Shooter, a history-sheeter from Mehada police station and Blackia gang leader, along with Sunil Khatana from the same village, and siblings Himanshu and Hemant Maan from Ilakhar village under Mehada police jurisdiction.
The four accused were presented before a court, which placed them in police custody until Jan 24. Dy SP Rajveer Singh and CI Rammanohar conducted a site verification, walking the four accused through Badh Ki Dhani, Tuesday.
The four accused were observed apologising with hands on their ears, promising not to repeat their misdeeds.
Local traders honoured the accompanying police personnel with garlands in the marketplace.
Dy SP Singh assured strict action against the accused. The incident stemmed from an existing rivalry between Blackia gang member Hemant Maan and history-sheeter Rohit Mahla from Badh Ki Dhani under Gudha police jurisdiction. The Blackia gang initially fired shots in Hansalsar before targeting Rohit Mahla's residence in Badh Ki Dhani.
The police prioritised this shooting incident, subsequently arresting the accused from Delhi and Jaipur.
