Jaipur: Forest department team on Monday morning rescued a four-year-old female leopard found injured in a village in Jamwa Ramgarh. Officials said that the leopard was already wounded around its neck and was hiding in the bushes when the team reached it. The locals had informed the forest department early morning after sighting the big cat.
“The leopard was wounded around its neck, which suggests that it might have been hit by a vehicle earlier. The four-year-old female leopard is suffering from posterior paralysis and is undergoing treatment at present after which it will be released,” said Arvind Mathur, senior veterinarian with the Nahargarh Biological Park. On Sunday, a four-year-old male leopard was tranquilised and rescued from an industrial area in the city. TNN
