Fake MLA tag lands driver in trouble; car seized in Jaipur checking drive

Jaipur: Traffic police Tuesday seized a car in Hathoj area after it was found displaying an unauthorised MLA nameplate and using prohibited black film on its windows.

Police said the action was taken during an evening checking drive when a head constable stopped the vehicle on suspicion.

During questioning, the driver, identified as Shyam, claimed the car belonged to an MLA and sought to be allowed through, officials said.

The police, however, verified the claim and found it to be false. The vehicle was seized for violations of traffic rules, including misuse of a VIP designation and use of black film.

Officials said further action is being taken as per law.
