EO in ACB trap for bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested an executive officer (EO) of the municipality of Pipar in Jodhpur district on Monday, for taking a bribe of Rs. 1500 from a contractor. The EO had demanded the bribe for releasing the payment of the contractor. According to the DIG (ACB-Jodhpur) Sanjeeb Kumar Narjari, complainant Rajesh Suthar, a contractor with the municipality, had taken an order for construction of some petrographs.On the completion of the work, Suthar demanded the payment of Rs 45,000. EO Suraj Prakash Sharma demanded a bribe of Rs. 1500 to release his payment.
