AJMER: A 21-year-old student of computer science at Government Engineering College, Ajmer committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan at his IBM Colony residence here. His body was found on Thursday morning.
According to his classmates Sujeet Kumar was depressed after he failed in semester IV exams. Angry by the suicide college students sat on a dharna in front of collector's office.
They were demanding action against the principal of the college M M Sharma and computer science department head Prakarti Trivedi. Sujeet is the second student in Ajmer who committed suicide this week.
On Sunday night 19-year-old engineering college student Yashwant Kumar Beniwal had committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling. He was depressed by pressure of studies and parents.
In Sujeet's case result of three subjects in semester III exams held last year had been withheld. The students said that despite withholding the result he was allowed to appear for semester IV exams. But when the result was declared he had failed in the three subjects.
