Duo killed in accident on way to Ramdevra

Jaisalmer: Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Barmer district, police said on Tuesday, including an uncle and nephew who were part of a group from Gujarat going to the religious shrine of Ramdevra in Jaisalmer.
A group of Gujarati pilgrims from Ahmedabad was travelling on 8-10 bikes to Ramdevra on Tuesday when a tanker hit one of the bikes in Dhorimanna police station area. The uncle and nephew riding the bike, identified as Pratap and Ranchid, both residents of Ahmedabad, were badly injured and immediately taken to a private hospital, where they were declared as dead. Police have kept the bodies at the Dhorimanna hospital mortuary.
Another accident took place in Chohatan police station area of Barmer district on Monday night in which a pick-up vehicle hit a bike. One of the bike riders died on the spot while the other was injured. The two were brothers-in-law.
The deceased was identified as Sonu Khan, 26, and the injured as Razak Khan. The pick-up’s driver ran away from the spot, police said.
