JAIPUR: Amid rumours that the body of Bhanwari Devi being found in Uttar Pradesh, director general of police, Harish Chandra Meena looked ‘visibly upset’ at a press conference meant to brief the media on the ‘Gopalgarh violence’ on Sunday.
When asked about the status of investigation in the case, Meena suffered a slip of the tongue. “We have not been able to recover the body of the nurse,” Meena said without realising what he has told the media.

Newsmen asked him if he meant that the ANM Bhanwari Devi was killed.
Realising that he had said something he had not meant, Meena said, “I mean we are on the job to find out the missing ANM. The investigation is on to recover her if she is missing and to find out if she was killed.”
Initially, he was not initially keen to answer questions on Bhanwari Devi.
