JAIPUR: A couple and their three teenage children were found dead, allegedly having hanged themselves in their house in Bikaner district of Rajasthan on Thursday.
The bodies of four family members were discovered hanging from the ceiling, with one body found lying on the ground.
On Thursday afternoon, Hanuman Soni (45), along with his wife and three children, residents of Antyodaya Nagar in the Muktaprasad Nagar police station area, allegedly died by suicide through hanging, as reported by SHO Suresh Kumar
The landlord alerted the police upon detecting an unpleasant odor emanating from the house.
Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene, Kumar stated, noting that the body found on the ground might have fallen from the noose. He mentioned that the five bodies have been placed in the mortuary of PBM Hospital for post-mortem
Besides Soni, the other individuals who have passed away have been identified as his wife Vimala (40), two sons Mohit (18), Rishi (16), and a daughter Gudiya (14).
The police are investigating the case from all angles.
