Contractual staff suspend agitation

Jaipur: Samyukta Samvida Mukti Morcha, a group of contract employees’ unions, on Tuesday decided to suspend their agitation till May 25. The morcha in a statement said the organisation took out a march from Sanganer Gaushala to Jaipur Martyr’s Memorial but was stopped on the way by the administration. They later held talks with the government’s representative, minister Mahesh Joshi, it said.Joshi talked to the office-bearers of the morcha and assured to solve all the problems by taking up the issues with the CM, including regularisation after calculating the previous work experience period, the morcha said.Following the assurance by the minister, the office-bearers decided to suspend their agitation till May 25.State general secretary of the Morcha, Ramswaroop Tank said that if the government fails to fulfil its promise by May 25, they will again launch a big movement against the government.
