Jaipur: Congress manifesto to feature time-bound guarantees of public welfare schemes.The first meeting of the manifesto committee under CP Joshi decided that if the party programmes were given as guarantees, it would be easy to reach the people. The meeting has also decided to focus on social security as the main thrust area of the manifesto.CM Ashok Gehlot has also been saying that he will now give guarantees instead of announcing new schemes. ABVP manifesto focuses on marginalised, women

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) have released their manifestos for the Delhi University Students' Union polls. Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the Congress parliamentary party, expressed her dream of a Congress government in Telangana during a public meeting. She announced six guarantees for the people, including the Maha Lakshmi scheme which would provide financial aid, LPG cylinders, and free bus travel for women. The meeting took place after a two-day Congress Working Committee meeting in Hyderabad. Sonia was accompanied by Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders.
