Colvin Shield Cricket: Mohd Anas slams century to lead Tonk to 81-run win over Alwar

Jaipur: Mohd Anas struck a century, while Jayant Tambi and Girdhari Ram missed the three-figure mark narrowly in the state level Senior Colvin Shield cricket tournament, organised by the Rajasthan Cricket Association ad hoc committee, at the various grounds on Saturday.Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Tonk and Barmer posted wins over their respective rivals on the fifth day of the annual tourney.All-round performance by Pankaj Jangid, Himanshu Rana, Sahil Dewan, Shubham Patwal and excellent bowling from Rahul Chaudhary were the highlights of the day.At the Republic Ground in Tonk, the home team defeated Alwar by 81 runs. The 50-over match was reduced to 33 overs due to rain. Tonk amassed 239 for 5 as Anas cracked an unbeaten 104. He was well supported by Aditya Wadhwa (54) and Vishal (32).Alwar’s Praveen Kumar took 2 wickets. In reply, Alwar were skittled out for 158. Mayank Kumar scored 39.
