JAIPUR: The main state-level Independence Day function will be held at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium here on Sunday. It will begin at 9.05 am with chief minister
Ashok Gehlot unfurling the national flag followed by cultural programmes. The CM will honour people from various walks of life for their distinguished service, on the occasion.
Speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat will hoist the tricolour in the assembly premises at 8.00 am.
He will also distribute prizes to school children who have won the essay competition organised by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Council.
At Rajasthan High Court, chief justice Jagdish Bhalla will hoist the national flag in the court premises at 8.15 am while chief secretary will unfurl the tricolour at his residence at 8.00 am. Home secretary Pradeep Sen would hoist the national flag at Ramgang Chopar in a function organised by Peace Committee.
District collector Kuldeep Ranka will hoist the national flag at the collectorate at 8.00 am while divisional commissioner Kiran Soni Gupta would hoist the tricolour in her office premises at 8.15 am. Director (public relations) Dr Amar Singh Rathore will hoist the national flag at Jaipur Information Centre.
