CM greets on Akha Teej, calls for end to child wedlock

JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday sent his greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and called upon the citizens to make collective efforts to eradicate the social evil of child marriage.
Extending his greetings on the eve of Akshya Tritiya, Gehlot said child marriage is not only illegal but a social evil that needs to be completely eradicated for a healthy society.
The chief minister also called upon social organisations, public representatives and common people to raise their voice against child marriages in the state.
