CM calls for caution amid heatwave, Nautapa
Jaipur: With Rajasthan in the grip of a severe heatwave during the ongoing Nautapa period, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Wednesday urged residents to put health and safety first and follow official advisories.
He also asked people to cooperate with census workers visiting homes across the state and “receive them respectfully” as they continue their duties in scorching temperatures.
Sharma advised residents to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary exposure to harsh sunlight, and take special care of children, the elderly and those suffering from illnesses. He called for strict adherence to guidelines issued by the administration and the health department to reduce the impact of the heatwave.
He appealed to citizens to help vulnerable people by arranging shade, drinking water and temporary relief facilities at public places, and urged people to provide water and food for animals and birds during the intense summer spell.
