JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot promised all help to a company proposing to set up a multi-disciplinary post-graduate institute and research campus here in collaboration with Helsinki University of Finland and Tooltech Global Engineering on Sunday.
An assurance to this effect was given by Gehlot to a delegation of Systems Biology India, a joint venture company which is looking for a suitable land for establishing the campus in the city, a CMO official said.
According to official sources the proposal for investment was over Rs 100 crore. "Expressing his commitment to promote world-class education, Gehlot assured the visiting delegation of all help and asked them to expedite the project," the official said.
System Biology India chairman Atual Khanna said the institute would be affiliated to the Helsinki University and apart from course and curriculum, the degrees would be issued by the same university. He added every year 25 students would be given an opportunity to conduct reseach at Helsinki University. Khanna saidthat they are conducting a survey near Jaipur to find a suitable location for the institute.
