JAIPUR: The charred body of the 22-year-old missing son of a local BJP leader Prashant Parmar from Dholpur was found from the forest area of Karari railway station near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Gwalior police said, the body also had bullet injuries and the assailants had set the body of the deceased on fire for disposal. Police have arrested three persons on the charges of murder.

According to police, the missing report of deceased Prakhar Pratap Parmar was lodged at the Vishwavidyalaya police station in Gwalior on Tuesday. On Wednesday police found the partially charred body of the deceased.

"It was found that Prashant Parmar had given Rs 6.8 lakh to one Karan Verma who is a temporary employee at the Gwalior Municipal Corporation for facilitating in the approval of a building construction in Gwalior. Prior to this Karan had taken Rs 1.5 lakh as loan from him. However, approval for the building construction was not given. Hence, Pratap had gone to the Gwalior municipal corporation to enquire with Karan on the pending approval on Tuesday. Since then he was missing as he did not return by the evening," Motiur Rehman, additional SP, Gwalior told TOI over phone.

After lodging a missing complaint, Gwalior police launched a massive hunt to find Parmar. "His partially charred body with bullet injuries was found. We have arrested three persons including Karan Verma, Harsh Saxena and Bhanu Verma on charges of murder," Rehman added.

Meanwhile, the victim's father Prashant Parmar accused the Gwalior police of negligence in this matter.

Parmar was a native of Baseri area in Dholpur. Further investigations in the case were on, police added.
