JODHPUR: The CBI has reportedly visited some lime kilns in Pipar area of Jodhpur in connection with the investigation into the kidnapping of nurse Bhanwari Devi.
There had been rumours that Bhanwari Devi met her end after she was kidnapped. Rumours also had it that she has been turned into ashes in some lime kilns in Pipar. Pipar is hardly 30 km from Borunda, the native village of Bhanwari Devi.
A key suspect in her kidnapping, Sohabuddin, belongs to Pipar. Sohabuddin is on the run following which the state police have declared a cash reward on him.
On September 1, when Bhanwari Devi was abducted, the location of the mobiles belonging to suspects had been shown at Newara Road in Jodhpur around 8 pm. But soon the mobiles were switched off for three hours. The police suspect that if Bhanwari was killed, her body might have been disposed off in Jodhpur itself.
A police officer said that the conspirators would definitely have made sure that she remained untraceable so that the plot never unfolded and the conspirators never apprehended.
