BJP members here on Wednesday staged a protest against government over water and power and took out a procession from
Hanuman
crossing to collectorate.
When they reached collectorate, police stopped them from entering the premises. However, they managed to enter the collectorate. The members submitted a memorandum to collector. They also burnt effigy of chief minister Ashok Gehlot.
In the Jan Aakrosh rally, district president Chandra Prakash Sarda, district secretary Sushil Vyas, former MLA Sang
Singh Bhati
, Chotu Singh Bhati, Jila Pramukh Pratap Singh and other BJP leaders and officials were present.
Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha national executive member Aidansingh Bhati said that people of Jaisalmer are fed up.
Public representatives and officers are not listening to people. The government is not solving the basic problem of water and electricity.
BJP leader Kanwraj Singh Chauhan said that
Congress government has failed on every front, including electricity, water, health, drought relief works and Prashashan Shehron Ke sang etc. People are fed up with inflation. The Centre has reduced the price of petrol and diesel, but the state government is silent.
City convener Arun Purohit said that the government has failed on all fronts and people are fed up due to increasing atrocities on women.
