JAIPUR: Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat of BJP’s chartered accountants’ cell in Jaipur was among eight people appointed as non-official independent directors on the board of the Indian Oil Corporation for a period of three years, or until further orders.
Others independent directors include B Mahadevan, Jagdish Kishwan, Sankar Chakraborti, Vinoo Mathur, Vivek Rae, Chitta Ranjan Biswal and Samirendra Chatterjee.

A formal order in this regard was issued by the ministry of petroleum and natural gas on Friday.
