BJP demands CBI inquiry

JAIPUR: Asking the state government to come clean on the missing ANM Bhanwari Devi’s case in Jodhpur, the BJP on Tuesday demanded a CBI inquiry into the case. The party also also said that it was yet another example of increasing atrocities against women in the state.
“A controversial CD and the name of a senior cabinet minister has been making rounds in the case and yet the ruling party has neither taken any action nor given an explanation.Bhanwari Devi has been missing for over two weeks now and despite the issue being extremely sensitive, the police has not been able to trace her,’’ BJP spokesperson Dr Jyoti Kiran said. She demanded that the government publicly declare what is being done to trace Bhanwari Devi and what action is being taken against the allegations made by her husband.
