Bhilwara: The Subhash Nagar police station in Bhilwara city, while solving a vehicle theft case Monday morning, arrested two accused, including a history-sheeter, and recovered 18 motorcycles from them. The police are interrogating them about thefts at other places.Subhash Nagar police station in-charge Kailash Kumar Bishnoi told TOI that to curb the rising incidents of vehicle theft in the city, a special campaign is being conducted on the directions of Bhilwara SP Sagar Rana. On June 5, a senior citizen of the police station area, Shambhudayal, filed a report about a motorcycle being stolen by an unknown person near Vardhaman School situated in the same area.After examining nearby CCTV footage, the police began a probe and constituted a special team to arrest the accused. Police arrested Gopal Keer (37) and Bherulal (29), residents of Suwana in Bhilwara district. The duo confessed to the vehicle theft incident following interrogation. Gopal Keer is also a history-sheeter of the Sadar police station. The police have also recovered 18 motorcycles from the arrested vehicle thieves.
