‘Auction for composite licences of iron ore blocks in Karauli soon’

Jaipur: After the Centre’s approval, the mines department will start the process to auction composite licences iron ore blocks in Karauli.
Recently, preliminary exploration has found deposits estimated to be more than 840 million tonnes of iron ore in Khoda, Dadaroli, Todupura and Liloti near Hindon in Karauli.
As per the initial exploration done by the state’s mines department, indications of both magnetite and hematite of iron ore have been found.
The iron ore deposits are spread in 462.3 hectares in Khoda of Karauli, 754.38 ha in Dadaroli, 260.71 ha in Todupura and 410.94 ha in Liloti.
A mines department statement said that blocks have been prepared for auction by Rajasthan State Mineral Exploration Trust. With the approval of chief minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the way for auction for composite license has been paved, said the statement. tnn
