JAIPUR: A 22 -year-old woman was gang-raped by four men and beaten mercilessly in area under Jai Singh Pura Khor police station, late Wednesday night.
The woman was admitted to SMS hospital. The police said they have arrested two men identified as Deepak Meena (26) and Giriraj Meena (31), while search for the other two is on.
The police stated that the girl’s father filed an FIR on Thursday, stating that he went out for work on Wednesday and returned home around midnight but did not find his daughter.
He claimed that around 1am on the intervening night of Wednesday - Thursday, an SUV approached their house, and the accused left the girl near a shop and fled.
The father said that his daughter was writhing in pain and was barely able to speak.
She had injuries all over her body and her clothes had blood stains. “Assuming her to be dead, the accused dropped her near her house and fled,” said an official, adding that a special police team was formed to carry out raids at the location of the accused.
