Jaipur: The
Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced dates for special summary revision of voters’ lists in five states, including Rajasthan, which are scheduled for assembly elections later this year.
The final electoral roll will be published on October 4 and the model code of conduct (MCC) is likely to come into effect within 7-10 days thereafter. In 2018, the final electoral roll was published on September 27 and the election dates were announced on October 6.

Praveen Gupta said that BLOs (booth-level officers) will conduct door-to-door survey from May 25 to June 23 for addition, deletion and correction of names in the voters’ lists.
He said the final voters’ list will be published on October 4. Rationalisation of polling stationsill be done before July 24. TNN
