Army man demands sexual favours to pass student in NCC test in Rajasthan
The accused allegedly sent lewd messages to the teen and promised to help her get the NCC ‘C’ certificate in exchange for sexual favours, SHO (Women police station) Kartar Singh said. In her complaint filed Wednesday, the student alleged that the accused had failed her in the test and he, along with a friend, continued to harass her.
“Her statements were recorded Thursday. Based on the accused’s phone number provided by her, we are trying to ascertain the man’s identity. We have to corroborate whether the person named in the FIR was indeed associated with the Army and NCC,” SHO Singh said.
In her complaint, the student stated that she had joined an NCC camp in 2021-22 when the accused first sent her an objectionable message, promising to get her ‘C’ certificate tests cleared without any hassles. She added that the accused had even threatened to ruin her career if she failed to oblige to his demands, which she said proved true as she failed the exam.
“The case is being probed from all angles. It hasn’t yet been proven if the accused was indeed in the NCC or the Army. We are tracking the cell phone number the complainant has provided,” said a cop.
