KOTA: Ijjeyaraj Singh, the scion of Kota royal family and Congress candidate from here is all set to kick-start his campaigning soon. He has already started holding meetings with party workers and other leaders. Meanwhile, Singh's rival and BJP nominee Shyam Sharma has intensified campaigning in rural areas.
Party workers and leaders had started pouring in at Singh's residence in Raj Bhavan since morning after his name was declared by Congress high command.

The enthusiastic workers also bursted crackers. Singh remained occupied throughout Saturday and Sunday. He met former minister and senior Congress leader, Ram Kishan Varma at his residence in Rampura. He also visited party office at Kotadi Circle for the first time. Singh along with his wife and other family members went to Dadh Devi temple, Bhagvan Brijnathji temple at Garh Palace and Asha Pala Mataji temple, the traditional deity of hadas. On Sunday, Singh, along with his family members, left for Sawai Madhopur to pay homage at Ganesh temple in Ranthambhore.
Meanwhile, Sharma has been touring rural areas in the first phase and will visit Bundi district in the second phase.
