8-year-old raped by uncle in Tonk

JAIPUR: In a blatant mockery of relationships, a man raped his eight-year-old niece at the rooftop of her house while other family members were busy at a function in Tonk on Thursday.
The accused is on the run.
According to the police, the incident occurred near Panchkuiya area of the town. "A family function was on, so the girl's parents were busy," said a police officer.
He said the accused, Yogesh Kumar (18), had also come to attend the function. "On the pretext of offering the girl a chocolate, he lured her to come to the rooftop, and then raped her," he said.
The parents came to know about the incident late evening and immediately informed the police.
"By then, Yogesh had managed to flee," the officer said. The medical examination confirmed that the girl was raped.
The girl started bleeding, however as no one was home, she could not tell anybody regarding this.
"The parents came to know about rape late evening and immediately informed the police. Yogesh disappeared," said the officer.
The police have conducted a medical examination of the victim. "the report confirms rape," the officer said.
