Rajasthan: 5 districts yet to okay rates for construction work

districts

in Rajasthan, including, Alwar, Barmer, Bikaner, Dausa and Ganganagar, have not yet approved the new basic schedule of rates (BSR) for labour, material and equipment required for construction works under various schemes for the financial year 2019-20.


Expressing displeasure, the rural development department has taken serious note of the matter and has instructed the districts to complete the process without delay.

The department has also found negligence on part of Dholpur district in uploading the BSR rates on the department's software and directed to take strong action against the official concerned.

"It was found that that the staff concerned had made wrong entries on the BSR software. He mixed up the rates of two blocks under the zila parishad. This led to variance in BSR rates which were uploaded,” said an official.

An explanation was sought from the officer concerned and he was asked to correct the mistake.
