5.27cr voters registered in draft list: CEO

Jaipur: State’s chief electoral officer Praveen Gupta said the draft publication of voter lists of 51,507 polling stations of 199 assembly constituencies (except Karanpur assembly constituency) was done on Saturday. He said as many as 5.27 crore voters (including 1,41,839 service voters) are registered in the draft voter list. Of these, 2.74 crore are male voters, and 2.52 crore are female voters.
Gupta said a special campaign will be conducted on January 7 (Sunday) and January 21 to receive claims and objections at all the polling stations. After the draft publication of the integrated voter lists by electoral registration officers of the respective assembly constituencies, claims and objections will be received till January 22. TNN
