NEW DELHI: At least 45 passengers were injured when a private bus collided with two trucks on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district on Thursday.
The bus, carrying devotees traveling from Ujjain to Delhi, rammed into the trucks, which had already collided with each other due to dense fog.
Nangal-Rajawatan DSP Charul Gupta confirmed that more than 20 injured passengers were admitted to Dausa District Hospital.
Four others were referred to Jaipur for treatment, while some injured passengers left for Noida and Delhi.
The accident occurred near Lahdi Ka Bas, severely damaging the front part of the bus.
Following reports of multiple injuries, District hospital chief medical officer, Dr. Deepak Sharma, instructed the deployment of additional doctors and staff to handle the situation.
