JAIPUR: The Public Health Engineering Department on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 3.21 crore for transportation of drinking water by tankers in the densely populated and remote localities of the city.
During a meeting of the finance committee of Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Management Board (RWSSMB) chaired by additional chief secretary, public health engineering and groundwater, Dr.
Subodh Agarwal, the project has been sanctioned.
“Once this project is in place, a huge population living in the areas of of Chitrakoot, Vidyadhar Nagar, Murlipura, Jhotwara, Shastri Nagar, Sanganer, Hasanpura, Jawahar Nagar, Bas Badanpura, Topkhana Hazuri, Mandi Khatikan and Idgah area and Kho-Nagoriyan area will be benefited,” a PHED release stated.
