34 IPS officers transferred in major reshuffle

JAIPUR: In yet another rejig, the Rajasthan government on late on Thursday night transferred 34 IPS officers. It is the second transfer list of IPS officers within a week as earlier 75 officers were transferred.
Alok Kumar Vashishtha, inspector general of police, Bharatpur range, would be the new commissioner of Jodhpur, while Ashok Kumar Rathore, his predecessor, has been asked to take over as inspector general of police, SOG, Rajasthan.Rathore has replaced the firebrand police officer Dinesh MN who was instrumental in busting rackets during his ACB stint and had inspected the Anandpal Singh encounter case at Malasar. Dinesh will now take charge as inspector general of police, Bikaner range. The decision appeared to have been taken after number of Haryana gangs are operating and liquor mafia and bootleggers are thriving. Vipin Pandey, Bikaner range IG, will now look after provisioning and welfare of police with the same range at Rajasthan police headquarters.
Showing concern over the increasing trend of cybercrime and economic offences, Rajeev Kumar Sharma has been posted as additional director general (ADG), (Cybercrime and economic offence cases). However, on Friday evening, he was again transferred as ADG, rules.
Other key transfers included IPS officer Anand Srivastav who has been asked to take charge as inspector general of police (IG), Kota range from Udaipur Range. He is replaced by Vishal Bansal who will now look after Udaipur Range as IG.
Malini Agarwal, who worked as IG, Ajmer Range, has been asked to take charge with the same rank in Bharatpur Range. She is being replaced by Biju George Joseph, the IG, ATS who is transferred as IG, Ajmer range.
The reshuffle also brought the transfer of Hemant Priyadarshi, IG, Jaipur range under whose jurisdiction Alwar witnessing cow lynching cases comes. Priyadarshi is been replaced by VK Singh the IG, ACB. Priyadarshi will now take charge as ADG, State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), Rajasthan.
HG Raghvendra Suhasa the DIG, security will now take charge as DIG, Jodhpur range while the IG, Jodhpur range Hawa Singh Ghumeria is been asked to take care of law and order as IG at the police headquarters.
In the SP rank officers the surprising transfer was of Rahul Barhat who was transferred from Churu to Jaipur police commissionerate as Deputy Commissioner of police (East), a week ago. He is been asked to take charge as commandant 3rd Battalion, RAC, Bikaner. Pradeep Mohan Sharma would be the new SP, Sikar while Gaurav Yadav will now take charge as DCP (East). Tejashwini Gautam, the SP, ACB is been asked to take charge as DCP, headquarters, Jaipur police commissionerate.
