ALWAR: The Alwar police on Wednesday

arrested

three persons who had brought a huge cache of

illegal weapons

from Uttar Pradesh with an aim to kill two people living in Khatipura area Jaipur.

The Alwar police said that an intelligence input was received following which a team was sent to arrest Sameer Khan (24), Shaukat Ali (24) and Mohammad Raees (34). The police have recovered one country made pistol, a 32 bore gun, three country-made guns, and 10 cartridges.

The trio told cops that they were planning to kill Aslam and Bobby, residents of Khatipura area of Jaipur. "The accused and Aslam had long been at loggerheads. They were planning to kill each other for a pretty long time, in the pursuit of his revenge, Sameer brought weapons from an

illegal arms

trader in Uttar Pradesh," added an official. The sources in Alwar police told TOI that Sameer had been booked multiple times in the past for several offences. "He used to loot passengers travelling in the train by giving them drinks laced with intoxications," an official said, adding that Sammer and Aslam are arch rivals and has often beaten up each other.

"Recently Aslam had warned Sameer that he will finish him off, Sammer decided to

buy weapons

after threats," an official said.
