2 men beat dad to death over money

Jaipur: Two men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly beating their 60-year-old father to death in Gumanpura village under Renwal police station in Jaipur Rural district last week. Police identified the accused as Shankar Singh (43) and Amar Singh (38), sons of deceased Ummed Singh Tanwar, a resident of Gumanpura. According to investigators, the brothers assaulted their father after he refused to hand over money from a land sale completed about one month ago.
SP (Jaipur Rural) Rashi Dogra Dudi said the complaint was lodged on Feb 22 by the victim's wife Tej Kanwar (60), who stated that both sons, who live separately in Jaipur city, demanded a share of the sale money. tnn
