police on Saturday claimed success after a special team arrested two accused with three
illegal firearms
and ammunition.

Balveer Singh said that his team had received a specific intelligence input about a suspect moving around
Dwarka Circle
with a bag containing illegal weapons.
Police the rounded up the suspect, identified as Kaushal Singh (24), a resident of Bharatpur district. When they searched his bag, an illegal pistol, a country-made pistol and live cartridges were found.
In the second case, another team of the Pratap Nagar police nabbed a suspect from the
Power House
area on Saturday afternoon and arrested Rakesh Kumar with an illegal firearm and cartridges. “Efforts are now underway to examine how the two accused came to acquire these illegal firearms,” said Singh.
