Lekang Assembly Election Result 2024: NCP's Likha Soni wins from Lekang in Arunachal assembly elections

NEW DELHI: Likha Soni from the Nationalist Congress Party secured the seat with 7,804 seats. He defeated BJP candidate from the constituency, Chow Sujana Namchoom who was the runner up with 7,150.

Located in the North East region of India within Arunachal Pradesh, Lekang is an Assembly constituency. This seat encompasses the district of Namsai. Polling for this assembly seat was held on April 19.

Chow Sujana Namchoom contested from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while Tana Tamar Tara represented the Indian National Congress (INC), and Likha Soni contested for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

In the 2019 elections, Jummum Ete Deori secured 8,980 votes, representing 56.21% of the total votes polled. Takam Sanjoy from the Congress received 3,487 votes, accounting for 21.83% of the votes.

In the 2014 Lekang Assembly election, Chowna Mein from the Congress emerged as the winner with 6,337 votes, securing 47.46% of the total votes polled. The runner-up was Bida Taku from the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) who received 5,158 votes, accounting for 38.63% of the votes.
