Khandu assures funds for upgradation of hospital in Itanagar

Itanagar: Chief minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday assured funds for upgrading the Itanagar-based Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKM) to a 200-bed facility, informing that Rs 62 crore has already been earmarked to start the work.Khandu made this announcement while inaugurating a Liquid Medical Oxygen Plant with a 10,000-litre capacity and the ability to refill 40 oxygen cylinders at a time. The inauguration also included an ICU, an Emergency Care Centre, a police chowki, and a sports arena at the hospital.Requesting the RKM authorities to submit their detailed plan to the state government as soon as possible, the CM assured that the required funds, estimated to be around Rs 130-140 crore, would be provided, according to a statement from the chief minister’s office (CMO).“We have been able to increase our state-owned resources manifold, and therefore there will be no dearth of funds for all essential infrastructure development, especially in the health sector,” he said.He noted that in recognition of the yeoman services of RKM Hospital, the state govt had decided to install the LMO plant with an oxygen cylinder refilling station through NHM and upgrade the existing emergency unit to an emergency care centre through the state budget.

Funds released to build critical care unit in Wenlock hospital

Dakshina Kannada MP Brijesh Chowta announced the release of Rs 25.1 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission for the district. The funds include Rs 24 crore for constructing a critical care block and Rs 1.1 crore for an integrated public health lab at Wenlock District Hospital.

PWD finds it tough to upgrade roads due to lack of funds

Around 300km of rural Nashik roads have been upgraded to major district road status, now maintained by the state. However, due to limited funds, significant improvements are unlikely soon. The high costs and focus on critical repairs mean many roads will remain in poor condition for years, especially during monsoon seasons.

Bhuse inaugurates 100-bed hospital in Malegaon

District guardian minister Dada Bhuse inaugurated a new 100-bed women and children hospital in Malegaon city. The facility is equipped with advanced medical equipment and offers free medication and food to patients. The state government will also organize monthly health camps for women to provide additional healthcare services.
