Keyi Panyor becomes 26th dist of Arunachal

Itanagar: Carved out of Lower Subansiri, Keyi Panyor became the 26th district of Arunachal Pradesh.The new district, which was being demanded by the people of the Nyishi community for long, will have its headquarters at Ter Gapin-Sam Sarth.Congratulating the people, chief minister Pema Khandu said the establishment of Keyi Panyor district marks the beginning of a new era of development and progress. The 27th district, Bichom, is scheduled to be inaugurated early next week. PTI

Science centres in all districts

On National Science Day, Odisha govt plans to set up science centres in all districts. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated district science centres and planetariums at Jeypore, Ghatgaon, and Baripada in Mayurbhanj districts.

Woman murdered in Eluru district

Meduri Durga, an agricultural worker, was murdered in Polavaram. Rs One lakh was missing from her house. Police suspect known persons and brought in clues teams, dog squad, Polavaram Sub-Inspector Pavan Kumar, Polavaram DSP, N Suresh Kumar, and forensic experts to investigate the murder that happened on Sunday in Kotha Ramayya Peta village in Eluru district.

IAS officers reshuffled, three districts get new collectors

Adilabad collector Rahul Raj transferred to Medak, while Rajarshi Shah replaced him. Kumaram Bheem Asifabad collector Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao posted as GHMC additional commissioner, replacing Sneha Shabarish. Nalgonda additional collector Hemanta Keshav Patil posted as additional collector, Hyderabad. Eight special grade deputy collectors and 32 deputy collectors transferred to new posts.
