Fire breaks out in Arunachal school

Itanagar: A fire broke out at Govt HS School, Basar in Leparada district, police said on Monday. No one was injured in the incident, they added.“The incident occurred at 1.45am on Sunday,” Basar fire station OC Gika Romin said, adding that it is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. Romin said the common room of teachers was gutted, while the principal’s office and the CBSE cell were partially damaged. Furniture, registers and some official documents were destroyed in the fire. Basar MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi, SP Thutan Jamba, DDMO T Pema and other officials visited the school to take stock of the damages.

Man injured in firing incident

A 26-year-old man named Vikas was critically injured after being shot by three individuals in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi on Tuesday night. The incident took place around 9.30 pm, and police suspect a monetary dispute as the motive. An abandoned vehicle and cartridges were recovered from the scene.
