NEW DELHI: BJP candidate Dongru Siongju won the Bomdila assembly constituency in Arunachal Pradesh unopposed.
Bomdila is designated as constituency number 7 and is located in the West Kameng district.
Falling under the Arunachal West Lok Sabha constituency, Bomdila is reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and is predominantly inhabited by the Monpa tribe.
The constituency has a population of approximately 12,000 people, with a literacy rate of around 69%. The 2019 assembly elections saw a voter turnout of about 81%, highlighting active political engagement among residents.
