ITANAGAR: The budget session of the Arunachal Pradesh assembly will commence on February 8, with deputy chief minister Chowna Mein expected to present a vote on account the following day. On the first day of the two-day budget session, governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik will address the members of the House.

As per an order issued on Monday, the 7th legislative assembly has been summoned by the governor for its 13th session, scheduled from February 8 to 9.

Sources reveal that Mein, who also holds the portfolios of state finance and planning minister, is likely to present the interim budget on February 9, in view of the upcoming assembly elections and Lok Sabha Polls this year.

Furthermore, the two-day session is expected to witness the introduction of various bills.
