Adopt modern tech, remain ever-vigilant: Arunachal guv to ITBP

Itanagar: On the occasion of the 63rd Raising Day, Arunachal governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (retd) on Thursday lauded the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) for their courage and devotion while guarding the borders of the country. A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan said that while participating in the celebrations at the northeast frontier headquarters, Parnaik emphasized on the efforts of the Himveers (snow warriors), which reflect the core values of ITBP. The governor said, “ The occasion celebrates the foundation of the prestigious force and pays tribute to the indomitable courage, spirit, and unwavering devotion exemplified by ITBP in safeguarding the borders of the country.”ITBP northeast frontier inspector general Dr Akun Sabharwal also spoke at the event. Parnaik recalled the various accomplishments of the force and urged them to adopt modern technologies, remain ever-vigilant and contribute to PM Narendra Modi’s vision of Developed India@2047. He also urged the ITBP personnel to strengthen goodwill among locals towards the ‘Himveers’ and provide every possible assistance to the villagers and district administration.The statement also said that a 104-member guard of honour was accorded to the governor at the Frontier Parade Ground.

3 border districts of Ukhand to provide meat & fish to ITBP

Dehradun's state cabinet approved an animal husbandry department proposal to boost the economy in three border districts by supplying mutton, chicken, and fish to the ITBP, benefiting 11,500 local farmers and generating Rs 200 crore in five years. The plan includes a Memorandum of Understanding, initial funding, and timely payments for farmers.

Kharge, Rahul condole deaths of ITBP personnel in Chhattisgarh Naxal attack

Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi expressed condolences over the deaths of two ITBP soldiers in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur. Gandhi mourned the loss and lauded their sacrifice, while Kharge emphasized national unity against Naxalism. The Naxalite IED blast also injured two policemen during an anti-Naxal operation in the Kodliyar forest.
