Itanagar: Arunachal governor Lt Gen (retd) KT Parnaik met veterans and the kin of 1962 India-China war heroes at Walong in Anjaw district on Wednesday.On behalf of the people of the state, Parnaik conveyed gratitude to the war veterans for their bravery and valour during the war, a statement from Raj Bhavan said.“The courage and fortitude displayed by them is always in the heart of every Arunachali and they will be remembered by the future generations,” he said. On the eve of Walong Day, the governor released a song titled, ‘Walong Ki Ladai’ by lyricist Havildar M Priyo Kumar Singha. The governor, accompanied by 3 Corps GOC Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, 2 Mountain div GOC Major General VS Deshpande attended the Barakhana with the troops, the statement added.
