Army holds event to mark World Youth Skills Day in Arunachal

Itanagar: Over 160 students from various schools of Tuting in Upper Siang district took part in the World Youth Skills Day celebration organised by the Spear Corps division of the Army on Monday. The theme of the event was skills for peace and development.
It was inaugurated by Tuting additional deputy commissioner Pandov Perme. Addressing the students, Perme motivated them to learn new and gainful skills. He also highlighted the efforts of the Centre and state govt in skilling the youth, to enable them to be engaged in gainful employment. Praising the Army for its efforts, he urged them to conduct such events in the future as well.
“On this World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the potential and promise of our youth. By investing in their development, we are not only building a stronger nation but also a brighter, prosperous and peaceful future,” an Army officer said.
Students from Tuting govt higher secondary school and Kendriya Vidyalaya sung songs and took part in an extempore speech competition on the theme of this year’s celebration.
