ANSU to go ahead with 36-hr bandh

Itanagar: The All Nyishi Students’ Union has decided to go ahead with the 36-hour bandh it has called in the capital from Monday (August 12) over the state govt’s alleged failure to fulfill its demands. The demands of the apex student’s body of the Nyishi community include repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act; revocation of the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneur Act, immediate recruitment of TGTs/PGTs against vacant sanctioned posts; introduction of uniformity in school fees in private schools; closure of zero enrolment schools, etc. DM (Itanagar Capital Region) Talo Potom has declared the bandh as illegal and unlawful, reports Joken Ete.
